Job Summary

The Financial Analyst provides support in the areas of business process re-engineering, budget, billing, reporting, and financial management for IT initiatives and business process optimization. Analyzes an organization's performance and capabilities in areas such as order management, credit, invoicing and dispute management. Works with customers to define and implement process, technology, and organizational improvements.  Supports the definition of commercial financial business practices and incorporate processes into an automated solution. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assists in applying sound accounting and data processing principles.
  • Integrates GAAP financial business practices.
  • Identifies potential problems and solutions through analysis and recommends solutions.
  • Works with customers and applies best practices to effectively automate requirements.
  • Applies applications, while adhering to established accounting principles and practices.
  • The Financial Analyst will work at various commercial client locations and may work on multiple engagements simultaneously. 
  • This position will require travel at least 50% of the time to various locations for periods of a week or more.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Finance degree, preferably an MBA from an accredited graduate school of business with a concentration in business
  • Certifications preferred: Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, or ITIL
  • Highly proficient utilizing current versions of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Tableau programs
  • In-depth understanding of Business Process Mapping Notation (BPMN) financial processes and procedures
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in an environment with dynamically changing priorities
  • Available outside of normal business hours as needed by the government
