Job Summary:
The Mission Support Specialist shall serve as a liaison for special events and advise/facilitate special projects, while providing advisory and technical services on organizational functions and work practices. The Mission Support Specialist shall also apply a wide range of administrative programs concepts, laws, policies, practices and analytical methods to address technical issues or problems.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Produce reports, flowcharts, slide decks for major projects, etc.
- Serve as a liaison for special events and advise/facilitate special projects.
- Apply a wide range of administrative programs concepts, laws, policies, practices, and analytical methods to address technical issues or problems.
- Provide advisory and technical services on organizational functions and work practices.
- Develop new or modified administrative program work methods and procedures for delivering effective services to customers.
- Develop and deliver briefings, project papers, reports, and correspondence to foster understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations.
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with the ServiceNow sprint enhancement development team to provide detailed requirements for the dashboard.
- Ensure dashboard includes user access levels and notifications.
- Complete and verify the functionality of test scripts in partnership with the Facilities Branch Chiefs.
- Maintain and update relevant project documents and reports.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Ensure timely submission of deliverables. o Assist in the preparation of presentation materials.
- Draft, edit, and assemble reports required for meetings and presentations.
- Draft and assist in the development of policy documents.
- Work effectively with other branches and divisions within the organization to accomplish tasks.
- Obtain necessary information from appropriate sources to complete assigned tasks and share information with others as needed.
- A minimum of eight years of experience in project or program management, or related work with a minimum of five of the eight years in conducting analytical and support activities related to task area.
- A minimum education requirement of a bachelor’s degree.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data
- Ability to read and interpret management policy, regulations, and directives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 or higher to include Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to work effectively with a group or independently
- Ability to effectively manage several tasks simultaneously

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 or higher, including Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software applications such as SharePoint, MS Teams, D2D, UPS CampusShip, and ERETA.
- Experience with managing emails, coordinating with various stakeholders, and monitoring administrative support systems.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Experience in organizing and attending meetings and project coordination meetings.
- Expertise in updating, verifying, and maintaining account and service listings, such as UPS CampusShip accounts.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
