Job Summary:
The National Gallery of Art is an art museum in Washington, D.C.  The Gallery serves the nation by welcoming all people to explore and experience art, creativity, and our shared humanity. The National Gallery uses Information Technology (IT) in the execution of its mission. The information technology services are managed by Treasurer’s office of Digital Solutions (TDS). These services are delivered through various departments within TDS. The purpose of this work is to acquire highly technical contractor personnel to augment the National Gallery’s information technology staff supporting Tier 3 and Tier 4 operations for the back-Office technology infrastructure/services.

Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Manage all aspects of the software imaging process.
  • Develop master images and deployment procedures.
  • Test new versions of operating system and endpoint software for compatibility, performance optimization and deployment.
  • Work closely with compliance manager for ensure security compliance of the new images and/or any updates to the existing images.
  • Act as a backup of Support Software Release Manager
  • Work with the Support Software Release Manager with development, validation software of release process/technical procedures.
  • Develop and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) checklists for imaging processes.
  • Work with stakeholders for deployment/updates of the images
  • Deals with communication, preparation, and training for image updates
  • Update Knowledge Management System (KMS)
  • Provides management reports on image release/updates progress.
  • Ensure security compliance to the supported applications and operating systems.
Qualifications:
  • Hands-on senior level experience with Knowledge in Microsoft, Mac OS
  • Hands-on senior level experience as Ivanti Software Administrator software configuration and security compliance of endpoint devices.
  • Hands-on senior level experience with technologies involved in software and operating system deployment in a large enterprise.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP and endpoint performance management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of endpoint security compliance and remediations
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to identify, research, and resolve simple to moderately complex technical support issues independently.
  • Must be familiar with the latest hardware platforms for endpoint computing.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative.
  • Proficient project planning and writing skills.
  • MAC Genius experience
  • Experience engineering support of Active Directory, DNS, and any additional Microsoft, JAMF and Ivanti
  • Experience with Active Directory including AD forest migration, remediation and consolidation, as well as a strong foundation in other directory service technologies including GPO, DNS and DHCP
  • Hands on experience designing and configuring Microsoft Windows and MAC End User technology including Antivirus, patch management and other System Administration tools
  • Experience developing detailed Windows and MAC Administrative standards, design, and implementation documentation.
  • Experience capacity planning, performance monitoring and maintenance.
  • Strong hands-on experience with endpoint security tools such as Microsoft Defender, McAfee and encryption technologies.

Education/Certifications:
  • Requires hands-on 5+ years of hands working knowledge in the areas mentioned in qualifications, in an environment with 1000+ Microsoft Windows and MacOS device.
  • (MCP) Microsoft Certified Professional or (MCSE) Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
